You’ve heard, “Wives, submit to your own husbands..”, and that’s true! However, in order to really understand what it means to submit, it’s equally important to understand what submission isn’t.
There are certain expectations that husbands may have of their wives that don’t really fall into the submission category. These expectations if not checked creates unnecessary burden on wives.
Submission is not letting go of your will. It shouldn’t be a forced submission either.
If it requires compulsion, then it’s against the wives will and no longer considered submission. It has to be willingly with a full understand of why one must submit.
While it’s good to know what submission isn’t in a marriage, it’s equally important to understand what submission is in a marriage.
