Marriage Rebooted

Is it okay to date or marry someone who doesn’t share the same faith as you or believe in Christ as you do?

What does it mean to be unequally yoked with an unbeliever?

To be yoked is to be joined to someone or something in order to pull together a load in the same direction or plow a field with a combined strength.

When the yoke is unequalled, then pulling happens in different directions or even not at all, leading to lack of focus, purpose and achievement. The goal of the union is defeated.

The scripture says this:

“Stop forming inappropriate relationships with unbelievers. Can right and wrong be partners? Can light have anything in common with darkness?

Can Christ agree with the devil? Can a believer share life with an unbeliever?” – 2 Cor 6:14 (GWT)

Followers of Christ are to be equally yoked with other followers of Christ especially when it comes to marriage.

It’s not the time to be led by feelings or emotions. It’s better to get the foundation right from the beginning than trying to patch up the relationship as you go! Find out if he or she is the right person for you.

In this episode, we discuss, “Should A Christian Marry An Unbeliever?”

We hope it blesses you.
