Best Bible Verses about Beauty and Self Worth

Psalm 139:13-15 ESV

For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth.

Your heavenly Father knows every detail of your life. You were created by the God of heaven and earth.

You’re unique and special to Him. You are wonderfully made. Regardless of the situation surrounding your birth, He was present right from the beginning even before you were formed in your mother’s womb.

It’s not about your physical appearance, it’s about God’s inner beauty in you.

Isaiah 43:1 ESV

But now thus says the Lord, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.

The Lord who created you knows you by name! You are very special to Him.

Among the almost 8 billion people on earth, He knows and calls you by name. Say this, “I am significant, I am not forgotten, God knows my name!”

Repeat this as much as you can daily until it sinks into your inner mind and you begin to act like it.

Next time the enemy says, you are a nobody, tell him that he’s got the wrong person and then tell him, “I am significant, I am not forgotten, God knows my name!”

1 Peter 2:9 ESV

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.

Sister! Brother! You, yes you, are a chosen people, a chosen generation. You belong to the royal family of Christ. You are unique and set apart.

Get rid of everything holding you back. The forces of God working for you are more than those working against you. You belong to the light of God and darkness will always tremble before you.

You are who God says you are. You have God’s true beauty.

Jeremiah 29:11 ESV

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

You are valued by God so He has good plans for your life. Not just any plan but plans for your welfare, plans to make sure all is well with you.

Plans to bring you to His desired end for your life.

Don’t allow the negative thoughts to bring you down. Feel yourself with the peace of God that passes all understanding. You are loved.

Song of Solomon 4:7 ESV

You are altogether beautiful, my love; there is no flaw in you.

Wow! This is for you beautiful woman of God. You are altogether beautiful. Don’t be trapped by the world’s way of defining beauty. Stop judging yourself based on your stature or looks.

You know God’s mind concerning this. He says, you are altogether beautiful and there is no flaw in you! He’s certainly not looking the way people looks. Let God’s perspective be your perspective.

Luke 12:6-7 ESV

Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? And not one of them is forgotten before God.

Why, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows.

You far exceed the value of a sparrow!

God knows all the details of your life and not one is hidden from Him.

Do you have access to gold (a bar would be nice)? But you my friend have more value than gold or silver.

You are a choice possession of God. See through His lens and see yourself the same way He sees you.

Romans 12:2 ESV

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

It’s time for the renewing of your mind to the truth God says about you instead of the opinion of men.

You can’t afford to adjust and limit yourself to what the world says about you or define you.

Get hold of these truths and cleanse yourself with it until you see yourself the way He sees you.

Hebrews 13:5 ESV

Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Whatever may come your way, you have the word of God promising not to ever leave you.

He will come to your aid.

People may forsake you but as one who has totally surrendered to Him, He is committed to being there for you.

Romans 5:8 ESV

But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Get rid of the idea that God doesn’t love you.

He loved you while you were still a sinner. You’re now a son of God. He can’t love you less.

He has every reason to continue loving you even when you miss the mark. Rise up and see yourself as God’s special possession.

1 Samuel 16:7 ESV

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”

People will judge you based on your outward adornment or appearance. They look at your physical appearance to determine your beauty.

Unfortunately, physical appearance is subject to change but God does not see you that way. He goes beyond what anyone can see. He sees your inner self, the inner beauty within.

In the sight of God, you are perfect! Stop knocking yourself down based on what you look like. You have an unfading beauty and great worth in God’s sight.

Ignore people’s opinion of you and be confident in who God says you are.

Philippians 4:8-9 ESV

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honourable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable,

if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

What you think about matters a great deal. Just as your heavenly Father and Lord, Jesus Christ thinks on whatsoever things are true, honourable, pure and lovely, you must also meditate upon these things.

Get into God’s word and discover the qualities that you already possess as a child of God.

You have all the fruit of the Spirit in you (Gal 5:22-23). It’s time to soak yourself in God’s love for you and in who He says you are. Daily practice these things.

Ephesians 2:10 ESV

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

This is one of the best bible verses in the entire bible.

You are God’s masterpiece, His work of art created in Christ for good works.

Don’t let people define who you are or what you can do or can’t do because you’re not the work of their hands. Get rid of that low self esteem.

You are a royal diadem and special in His sight. You don’t need to live to please people rather live to please God, your Maker.

Gen 1: 27 ESV

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

You are created in God’s image. His image in you is His Spirit in you. You have the glory of God the Father in you right now.

Dig deep to see what you’re made of and who you are in Christ Jesus. You are not ordinary.

Your spirit is an exact like for like that of God! Not an inferior copy. You’re fully loaded.

Break pass the mental block, see pass your physical appearance and people’s opinion or estimate of you. You’ve got more and can do more than the limit people have placed on you.

2 Timothy 1:7 ESV

For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

Low self esteem comes with fear. Fear of making mistakes, of letting others down, of not good enough, of not being accepted.

Remember this: fear of any type is not of God. You have the power to overcome fear. You have been given by God the measure of faith to cast down fears and anything that want to keep you down. Use His perfect love for you to cast out fear.

Isaiah 41:10 ESV

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

You might be going through hard times right time, not seeing any worth in yourself; don’t be discouraged nor be dismayed. He is with you.

You are precious in God’s eyes and He’s willing to help you.

Jeremiah 31:3 ESV

The Lord appeared to him from far away. I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.

In the eyes of God, you are loved with an everlasting love. That means He loves you forever!

Be secured in His love for you and place your own self-worth in Him, not in the things of the world.

1 Peter 3:3-4 ESV

Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear— but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God’s sight is very precious.

This verse here is how God defines beauty. Not the wearing of gold jewelry, elaborate hairstyles and/or fine clothes (nothing wrong in looking decent and outwardly presentable).

But He is interested more in the true beauty of the heart. It’s human nature to look at the external but the Lord searches your inner being.

Isaiah 49:15 ESV

Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, yet I will not forget you.

As hard it may sound, it is possible for a mother to forget her child but God cannot forget you. He is not human, He is God.

See yourself the way God sees you. He says, you’re worth it and will shower you with His love. Rise above the rejection of men and focus your heart on your loving Father. He’s always by your side. He is Mother and Father to you!

1 Corinthians 6:20 ESV

For you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.

You are beautiful. You are worth it. God paid the utmost price to redeem you to Himself.

He sees the beauty within you and He gave His best to come save you from the corruption in this world. From the inner parts of your body, glorify Him.

John 3:16 ESV

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

It’s all about His love. From the moment He formed you up until now, He continues to shower you with His love eternally.

If you were the only one in the world, He would have died for you. Be cheerful, accept His Gift and rejoice in His faithfulness.

Continue meditating on these bible verses daily and watch His word renew your mind.

You have the beauty of God in you right now and your worth is already established in Him. Don’t allow circumstances, events or people talk you out of your confidence in the Lord.
